ISLAMKOT: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday reached Sindhri Airbase to inaugurate Thar Coal Mining and Power Project, ARY News reported.
Former president Asif Ali Zardari and Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah received the Prime Minister at airport.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will inaugurate Thar coal project in Islamkot along with former president Zardari.
Block-two is only one percent of the entire Thar coal reserves, which could produce 5000 MW for the next 50 years, reports said. According to media reports, to speed up work on Thar Coal utilisation, the government has provided sovereign guarantee for 1200 MW Thar Mining and Power Project (TMPP).
