Retired airforce official briefly detained after his vehicle came in middle of PM’s convoy

ISLAMABAD: A man was taken into custody for allegedly trying to hit the vehicle of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif by entering into his security detail in Islamabad on Sunday evening, ARY News reported.

According to details, PM’s convoy was en route to Islamabad from Murree that a white-colored Prado suddenly appeared and tried to hit PM Sharif’s car.

However, one of the vehicles in PM’s security detail intercepted the suspicious car and forced the driver to come out.

The driver turned out to be a retired office of the Pakistan Air Force, whereas officials found nothing wrong during search of the suspected vehicle.

It was further reported that PM Nawaz Sharif, who was travelling along with his wife and daughter Maryam Nawaz, remained unharmed during the episode.
