PM summons federal cabinet meeting to brief agreements with China

ISLAMABAD: Following his promising visit of China, Prime Minister Imran Khan has summoned a session of the federal cabinet on Thursday (tomorrow) in order to shed light on the agreements recently took place between Beijing and Islamabad.

According to details, PM Khan will take his cabinet on-board regarding the specifics of his China’s visit.

A 12-point agenda will be taken up during the session which includes briefing on Pak-China agreements to the central leadership and representatives.

During the meeting, the appointments of chairman Trading Corporation and chief executive officer of Public Private Authority will be consented, in addition to granting approval to the accord of criminals exchange with Britain and Ireland.

An implementation report related to the decisions and measures taken by the government will also be presented.

The permission to publish a tax directory of members of the parliament is also likely to be given during the session.

Yesterday, Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired a meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) at the Prime Minister’s Office to apprise the participants about his recent visit to China among other important discussion.

PM Khan in his visit of China met the top Chinese leadership and discussed the flagship bilateral project CPEC, bilateral trade and other matters.

During the Prime Minister’s visit Pakistan and China also agreed to conduct bilateral trade in Yuan.
