PM vows emergency measures to make Pakistan polio-free
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif has vowed that measures will be taken on emergency basis, in order to make the country polio-free – ARY News reports.
During the meeting of the Federal Cabinet presided by the Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, a detailed discussion took place on the affairs pertaining to problems and challenges faced during the anti-polio drive in the country.
The Prime Minister asked the Army Chief to insure the safety of polio vaccination teams in Waziristan and Khyber Agency.
PM Nawaz advised the authorities to end all the hurdles in the way of distribution of anti-polio vaccine; he also paid a tribute to the sacrifices of polio-workers.
Meanwhile, papers relating to budget strategy were also presented during the meeting. Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar briefed the Cabinet about positive advancements in the national economy.
He told that the economical indicators are improving on daily basis.
