PML-N meets today to discuss Taliban talks
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has summoned a meeting of the parliamentary committee of ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) today, to discuss the offer of talks from Taliban militants, ARY News reported on Monday.
The meeting will discuss serious challenges to the country including terrorism, sectarian clashes and an offer of dialogue from Tehrik e Taliban Pakistan (TTP), highly placed sources said.
The meeting will decide whether to talk or fight with the banned militant group after recent terror attacks in the country.
Federal Information Minister Pervez Rashid had earlier said that if Taliban want to live according to the constitution after laying off arms than the government will hold talks with them, otherwise, they will not be allowed to establish a state within state.
