KARACHI: Sindh’s senior minister Nisar Khuhro has said that Muslim League-Nawaz has refused to sit with Tehreek e Insaf and he thinks that the opposition was not united in Sindh, ARY News reported on Friday.
Talking to media at his office in Sindh Assembly in Karachi provincial minister of education Nisar Khuhro said that no time period has been fixed for appointment of the leader of opposition in the provincial assembly. The house was working without the leader of opposition earlier it will continue to do so. He said the opposition members could give their proposals for the provincial budget individually.
Replying a question, Khuhro said that Tahirul Qadri denounces democracy in the country while sitting outside the country.
He said Imran Khan had backed the referendum of Pervez Musharraf, for him the referendum of Musharraf was transparent and democratic elections are non-transparent.
He said the provincial government will provide funds to the universities but will also make them accountable. The universities will be given autonomy but not unbridled freedom.
He said the province will provide one-time meal or bicycles to the schoolchildren instead of laptops.
