PML-N workers to take to streets if democracy harmed: minister

KARACHI: Punjab Law Minister Rana Mashood on Monday said workers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) would take to the streets if any attempt was made to derail the democracy, ARY News reported.

Addressing a press conference in Lahore, the PML-N minister said government had devised a strategy [in connection to long march announced by opposition parties] and its implementation would start within three days.

He said a joint investigation report of Model Town incident would come to light in a day or two. The minister the current atmosphere was not conducive for protest as there were looming terror threats .

He asked who would bear the responsibility if any militant attack hit the protest march. He alleged that Dr. Tahirul Qadri was an agent of anti-state forces who wanted to hamper development process in the country.
