LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League- Q (PML-Q) took out rallies in eight districts of Punjab against Geo TV and expressed sympathies with Pakistan Army, ARY News reported Sunday.
The rallies were attended by civil society members and religious parties in large numbers. Participants demanded that immediate ban be imposed on Geo TV and Jang group for launching diatribe against key security institutions of Pakistan.
They were holding placards inscribed with anti-Geo slogans.
Participants said Geo straightaway blamed security agencies and Pakistan Army after Hamid Mir attack on April 19 without any proof, thus hitting the national security.
