PMLN won't be ruling if fair elections were held, claims Imran Khan

PESHAWAR: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan has claimed that if free and fair elections were conducted in the country, then Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) would not have been in power today – ARY News reports.

Addressing the convention of Insaf Students Federation (ISF) through a video link, Imran Khan expressed immense grief over non-transparent general elections that were held on May 11, last year.

He claimed that if the elections were free and fair, then PMLN would not have been ruling the country today.

Khan urged the youth to learn to fight for their rights by overcoming all the fears. He stated that a system which fails to provide freedom to the society, cannot be democratic at all.

Imran Khan said that independent judiciary and independent media are the only guarantors of a strong democracy.
