PM's talks committee contacts Molana Abdul Aziz, Fazlur Rahman

ISLAMABAD: The committee formed for talks with Taliban, has kicked off coordination with different personalities for playing their role in negotiations with the banned organization – ARY News reports.

According to details, Peace Talks Committee (PTC) coordinated with the JUIF Chief, Molana Fazlur Rahman and the Khateeb of the Laal Masjid, Molana Abdul Aziz and requested them to assist in the dialogue with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Sources told that Molana Abdul Aziz demanded the Government to insure that it will refrain itself from a military offensive against Taliban, only then he could play any role.

Meanwhile, the member of the Government's committee Major (R) Amir has denied any such contact with Molana Abdul Aziz.

The JUIF spokesperson told that the PTC has contacted, however no meeting took place with Major (R) Amir.

He further told that PM's negotiations team will meet Molana Fazlur Rahman on Sunday.
