Police arrest 16 in Karachi raids
KARACHI: Police in the ongoing targeted operation in Karachi arrested 16 persons from Orangi Town and Mehmoodabad along with weapons, ARY News reported on Saturday.
The arrested suspect said to be involved in street crimes in southern port city of Pakistan.
In Lyari, the turf war between two gangs continued, as the armed men using rockets and sophisticated weapons to assert their control in the area.
The law enforcement agencies could be seen in the area as spectators at safe distance from the hot spots.
A woman including two persons were injured in grenade attacks in the area.
Moreover, Police arrested a hitman Sajjad involved in killings of around 20 persons, reports said.
Police in a search operation in Pirabad arrested a contract killer Iqbal linked with Taliban and an extortionist Ghulam Sarwar. The arrested suspects also confessed their involvement in attacks on the law enforcement personnel in the city.
