Police arrest 21 outlaws in Ghotki

SSP Ghotki Masood Ahmed Bangash, speaking in a press conference, stated that a dacoit Dillo Tarat, involved in crimes in Sindh and Punjab was arrested by police. He said the notorious dacoit was wanted to the police in the two provinces for more than 30 cases of kidnapping for ransom, murder and robbery.

The government had announced a head money of Rs. 1.5 million for his arrest.

SSP Bangash said that three more robbers named Murad Shar, Kuraro Shaikh and Jaffar Shar were also held in the raid; each of them carrying head money of Rs. 0.5 million for their arrest. They were wanted to the law enforcement agencies in more than 60 cases.

Seventeen other suspects, wanted in different cases were arrested and weapons were recovered from them. The SSP said that they were held after encounters with police whereas some of them surrendered themselves to the authorities.

Bangash stated that 200 proclaimed offenders and more than 700 criminals, that were in hiding, have been arrested in the span of two months. He added that more than 20 of the arrested suspects are those for which the government had announced head money. The SSP said that “All no-go areas across the district have been finished whereas the targeted operations against criminals will continue to take place till crime is fully eradicated from the area.”
