According to details, residents of Baldia Ittehad Town informed police about an abandoned rickshaw parked near National Chowk. At this, police reached the site and called the BDS after placing security cordons.

BDS officials found a 100 kg bomb inside the rickshaw and defused it successfully, hence saving the city from a possible terror plot.

Officials said that the bomb was planted inside the rickshaw together with three cylinders. Unknown terrorists used locally-made explosives for preparing the bomb.

Residents told that the very rickshaw was parked there since noon and they informed the police when the owner did not turn up until evening.

It was further reported that there were no nut-bolts and ball-bearings used in preparing the bomb, however the metallic splinters of cylinders could cause severe damage in case of an explosion.
