Police encircles PTI, PAT protestors in Red Zone

ISLAMABAD: After the Supreme Court decision to clear Shahrah-e-Dastoor of protestors, fresh contingents of police have reached around the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) sit-ins, ARY News reported.

According to details, after the SC order, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar has presided over a high level security meeting and after a brief visit of Red Zone has ordered police and law enforcement agencies to enforce the apex court’s decision.

Nisar while ordering police to enforce the SC decision, said that the state’s actual writ is enforced through police.

Sources say that the evacuation of protestors from Red Zone and their transfer to a different place also came under discussion.

Mean while fresh police contingents have been posted at Radio Pakistan, Secretariat and Cabinet Division gates and all officials have been ordered to remain inside control room.

Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protestors can face crack down at any moment.
