Police file case against Umar Akmal
LAHORE: A case has been filed against Pakistani cricketer Umar Akmal in Gulberg Police Station after a scuffle between him and a traffic warden at Gulberg area of Lahore today, ARY News reports.
According to details, the scuffle broke out after the traffic police official stopped Akmal for violating the traffic rules. The situation intensified and physical blows were exchanged between the cricketer and the warden.
In an exclusive interview to ARY News, Umar Akmal claimed that the warden had manhandled him and the matter will be cleared if he is allowed to talk to the media. He claimed that he was arrested when he had come to file the case himself.
Umar Akmal claimed that he did not do anything wrong and informed the ASP about the incident himself.
