Police foil arms smuggling bid in Islamabad

According to details, Islamabad Police seized large quantity of arms and explosives from a car during checking. The recovered weapons included pistols, shotguns and sub-machine guns.

The police took two persons Nadeemullah and Kamran Haider in custody, who were travelling in the vehicle.

Police said that the suspects were trying to smuggle the weapons into Punjab from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. The  weapons were meant to carry out terrorist activities in the province, police sources said.
