ABBOTABAD: Police team of Mirpur police station foiled a major terrorism plot while recovering 100 kg of explosive material here on Thursday – ARY News reports.
According to details, Inspector General (IG) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Nasir Durrani told that police recovered 2 bags filled of explosive material from Mohalla Gulshanabad, whilst the explosive devices in these bags were defused by the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) officials.
He told that the bags contained almost 100 kg of explosive material including 780 meters of fuse-wire and 786 detonators.
Police officials also apprehended an accused.
Meanwhile, the IG KP Nasir Durrani also stated that he will himself supervise the investigations of Scheme Chowk blast that claimed 9 lives earlier today in Peshawar.
He issued a high-alert to the BDS in realm of the security situation of the province.
