Police nab eight bookies in Lahore

LAHORE: Police on Saturday rounded up eight bookies in Lahore while they were collecting money gathered through bets on Pakistan-India clash in the ongoing Asia Cup, ARY News reported.

Police on Saturday evening conducted a raid in Lahore’s Islampura neighborhood and nabbed eight bookmakers, officials told.

The bookies, at the time of raid, were busy collecting money gathered through different bets placed during today’s much-hyped Asia Cup clash between Pakistan and India.

The cops also seized the sum, arms, telephone sets and computers from the wrongdoers.
