Punjab police recover four children from ‘forced custody’
FAISALABAD: The police have recovered four children in a forced custody of two men from Mamu Kajan, area of Faisalabad, ARY News reported.
The men had kept the children in Bunga Hayat, a small town in Pakpattan district. Two women, Samina and Rubina had married off two brothers hailing from Jaranwala. The men had forced their wives out of home and forcefully took children into their custody.
Samina approached the police station and lodged a case against her husband, brother-in-law and sisters of her husband.
The recovered children were identified as Amna, Zia, Fatima and Israr. The kids and the suspects would be presented before the court tomorrow (Feb 19).
In a similar criminal incident, Punjab police on Feb 9 arrested two people including a milkman for allegedly raping and killing a seven-year-old girl in Faisalabad.
According to police, the dead body of a seven-year-old girl was recovered from a factory in Awami Street area of Faisalabad. Medico-legal examination revealed that the girl was brutally raped before being murdered.
The girl’s father told ARY News that his daughter went missing at around 1PM on Friday upon which they approached the police which recovered the girl’s body from the factory after an hours-long search operation.
The police later arrested a milkman and his accomplice nominated in the First Information Report (FIR) for allegedly committing the heinous crime.
