Police recover kidnapped UN workers from Pipri

KARACHI: Police recovered two United Nations workers from Pipri near Karachi after an encounter, ARY News reported on Monday.  The UN workers were abducted four days ago.

Police started investigation to trace two Hyderabad based UN workers Sami Nawaz and Farrukh Saleem who went missing after their arrival in Karachi.  

A police party on a cue conducted raid in Pipri near Karachi on Monday and recovered the abducted UN staffers after a shootout with kidnappers. The abductors fled from the scene after encounter with police party. 

The UN workers were kidnapped from Gulshan-e-Maymaar in Gadap police station jurisdiction four days ago. The police investigators had earlier recovered their their car.

The search for UN workers Sami Nawaz and Farrukh Saleem began after the wife of one of them reached to police for help.
