Police release sketch of Waheed-ur-Rehman’s murderer
Karachi police has released a sketch of one of the killers of renowned professor Waheed-ur-Rehman also known as Yasir Rizvi. Information shared with the sketch states that the murderer is a 30-35 year old individual having a height of 5 feet 6 inch with a healthy built, black hair and dark complexion.
Autopsy of the slain professor revealed that Waheed recieved one bullet each in his hand, forehead, neck, shoulder and abdomen.
Unknown gunmen killed Karachi University professor Waheed-ur-Rehman by opening fire on his car near Institute of Heart Diseases near Water Pump area in Karachi on Wednesday.
Rehman left behind a widow and two daughters. The elder daughter, Sana Waheed, is a first-year student at the Dow University of Health Sciences and the younger one, Barka Waheed, is a primary student.
Waheed-ur-Rehman was an assistant professor at the Mass Communication department of the Karachi University. He was affiliated to Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology before becoming an assistant professor at KU.
Mourning Waheed-ur-Rahman’s death, Karachi University will remain closed for two days.
Waheed used to write for a local paper with the pen name of Yasir Rizvi.
