SWABI: Policemen foiled a suicide bombing bid in Swabi police lines in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, ARY News reported on Tuesday.
According to details, policemen posted on security in Swabi police lines, warned a man who was trying to enter in the premises and opened fire when he didn't stop.
The man opened fire in response and injured a policeman seriously. Policemen shot dead the suspected bomber.
Around 400 people were present in the police lines at that time and a suicide attack could have cause massive casualties, police sources said.
Policemen sealed the area and launched a search operation after the incident. The area was declared clear after search, which was continued for two hours.
