Gulluism continues: unidentified officials raid Lucman’s home
Police officials today manhandled security guards of Lucman and entered into his residence without a warrant. They took several pictures of the children playing in the lawn and of the house.
On Lucman’s complain, DIG operations Lahore disowned any action taken by Punjab Police against Lucman, though FIR is still not being lodged at his complain.
Senior journalist and spokesperson Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) Rana Azeem condemned the incident and announced demonstration at CCPO office Lahore on Monday. He vowed to spread protest countrywide in case the attitude of Punjab government remains unchanged towards journalist.
ARY News’ Islamabad Bureau Chief, Sabir Shakir said Mubashir Lucman is being victimized for exposing corrupt politicians of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PMLN). He added that harassing Lucman is a part of conspiracy to restrict ARY News and bring it to a closure.
