Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) in its reply submitted to the commission said that the election cell of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Returning Officers and the polling staff was involved in it.
The judicial commission was constituted by a Presidential Ordinance to investigate into irregularities in general elections.
The judicial commission headed by Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk had asked the political parties to submit their responses on alleged poll rigging by April 29 (today).
During the commission’s inquiry, the questionnaire was sent out to ask three main questions about the elections.
The questionnaire asked whether the 2013 elections were carried out in fair and impartial manner. It asked parties to submit supporting material and present eye-witnesses in the case of a no.
The questionnaire also inquired whether or not the elections were manipulated in an organized manner and to identify those who may have orchesterated it.
In relation to the organized procedure, the questionnaire further asked whether rigging was carried out in national constituencies or national and provincial. It also asked if alleged cheating was carried out in a province or all provinces.
The commission also asked political parties to submit material and name witnesses to back their allegations and responses in the questionnaire.
