All political parties should honour Panama case verdict: minister
ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb says some political elements trying to disrupt government’s development agenda through politics of allegations and agitation will fail in their designs.
“All the political parties should honor the verdict of the Supreme Court in Panama Papers in letter and spirit, and avoid its interpretations according to their own interest,” she said in an interview.
Meanwhile talking to newsmen in Rawalpindi the same day, she said people will not support the political leaders who are trying to create chaos in the country.
Ms. Rehman said the PTI Chief levelled baseless allegations against every institution and national figure of the country. The politics of defaming institutions and trying to bring them under pressure must be abandoned.
She said the Prime Minister himself had suggested formation of a commission to probe the Panama Papers case. She said the prime minister presented himself up to his three generations for accountability.
Earlier, addressing a ceremony at a local school in Rawalpindi, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said under the Prime Minister’s Education Reform Policy curriculum is being revised to cater the changing tones of time in line with our national values and ideology.
She said inculcating our young generation with pride in our history, values, language and culture is the need of the hour.
The Minister said unfortunately due to absence of child friendly content on internet our children are wasting their time and energy in useless surfing.
