HAFIZABAD: Polling for Punjab Assembly seat PP-107 (Pindi Bhattian) has been underway as the candidates of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan Tehreek Insaf have been involved in a close contest in the by-poll, ARY News reported on Thursday.
The Election Commission of Pakistan and the district administration have made arrangements to hold the by-election today.
PML-N candidate Sarfaraz Khan Bhatti and PTI's Nighat Intisar have been involved in a close contest in the constituency.
According to election commission, 175,339 male and female registered voters would cast their votes at 154 polling stations in the constituency.
A large contingent of police has been deployed in the constituency to ensure law and order in the constituency.
Sixteen polling stations of the constituency have been declared sensitive where strict security arrangements have been made during the vote.
