According to statement issued on Sunday, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman has said that PPO violates the rights prescribed by Islamic Sharia and it’s against human rights.

He said we made government aware about our reservations over the ordinance which weren’t addressed yet.

“How can we support such kind of black law here as we always oppose it in Kashmir”, he added.

JUI-F Chief asked government to take immediate measures to sort out difficulties of people internally displaced due to ongoing military in North Waziristan.

The National Assembly (NA) of Pakistan had approved the Protection of Pakistan Ordinance (PPO) 2014. The ordinance allows Grade-15 official to shoot down a suspect, while the law enforcement agencies (LEAs) can search out any place without the search warrant.
