PPP, PML-N win big in LB Polls

The results shown clear dominance of the two parties in their strongholds except an eye-opener for PPP in Badin where rival Mirza Group outclassed the provincial ruling party by winning all 14 seats of Badin city council apart of three town committees.

People’s Party won over 800 council seats in Sindh with MQM a distant second with 110 seats in the province.

PML-N won over 50 council seats, PML-F 22 seats, PTI seven and PPP-Shaheed Bhutto four seats in gross root elections in Sindh.

In Punjab ruling PML-N won over 900 council seats, independents remain second with 546 seats and Tehreek-e-Insaf a distant third with over 300 council seats.

PML-Q won 14, PPP eight and Jamat Islami seven seats in Punjab.
