PML-N leaders Ishaq Dar, Khurram Dastgir, Khwaja Asif and others are also accompanying the PM.

According to sources, senior leaders of Pakistan People’s Party will meet the prime minister and discuss with him the ongoing issue over extensions in Rangers’ policing powers in the province.

However, no meeting is formally scheduled between any PPP leader and the prime minister.

During his day-long visit, the Prime Minister will inspect the site of Port Qasim Power Project. He will also address members of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

Meanwhile, PPP co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari has said his party would not immediately drag the Rangers issue to the Supreme Court. He reached this decision after consultations with senior PPP leader Farooq H. Naek in Dubai.

They reviewed all legal aspects in the ongoing contention over Rangers issue between the Sindh government and the federal government.
