LAHORE: Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah has said that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is the protector of national interest, ARY News reports.
Speaking to media at Lahore Airport on Sunday, Syed Khursheed Shah said that the federal government's performance is good as per the Gallop Survey but the nation knows the situation better.
Khursheed Shah said that the Co-Chairman of PPP Asif Ali Zardari has informed the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif about the reservations of the Pakistan Protection Ordinance (PPO) and has said that it can be used against him as well.
"The government should consult with the opposition in the legislature in the bill", he added.
Commenting on the peace process with Taliban militants, the opposition leader stated that the negotiation process are in a state of deadlock.
