MIRPURKHAS: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is all set to hold a public meeting in Mirpurkhas on Friday (today) to celebrate the birth anniversary of its founder and former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

All arrangements for the public gathering have been finalized at Gama Stadium of the city with stepped up security. PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and other party leaders will address the participants of the meeting.

Party flags and banners depicting the slain PPP leaders alongside PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the co-chairman as well as local leaders have been put up at the venue and along the routes leading to it.

A cake weighing 90 pounds would also be cut on the occasion to commemorate the 90th birth anniversary of PPP founder Shaheed Zulifkar Ali Bhutto.

A day earlier, former president Asif Ali Zardari urged ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif to speak his mind and reveal the truths he has kept in his heart.

“Mian Sahib is threatening to spill the beans on behind-the-scenes activities, so I want you to go on and disclose every thing, but first of all you should tell how you were carved out (into politics),” said Zardari while addressing a rally in Mirpur Khas.

Nawaz in a statement has threatened to spill the beans if political wheeling and dealing did not stop. He claimed a propaganda was being carried out in Islamabad for the last four years.

Zardari asked the deposed PM to tell the nation how did he get the mandate.
