In presence of the sanctions, IP pipeline project can't proceed: Khaqan Abbasi

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said on Wednesday that Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project will take three years time for its completion, once sanction over the project removed, ARY News reported.

Breifing media following the opening session of the two-day oil and gas summit being organized by International Research Networks(IRN), in collaboration with Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources, the Minister said the Iran also made awared about the situation regarding sanctions.

He said there was no external pressure to prevent progress on the project adding that in presence of the sanctions, the work could not proceed on the pipeline to import gas from Iran.
