Mamnoon vows to resolve terrorism issue with dialogue
ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain has said that the menace of terrorism in the country will be resolved through dialogue, ARY News reported on Monday.
The President was addressing the joint session of the Parliament on the completion of its first year. Speaker of National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq was chairing the session.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, armed services chiefs, foreign diplomats and other dignitaries are present on the occasion.
President Mamnoon Hussain expressed his satisfaction over performance of the PML-N government in its first year.
President Mamnoon said that the opposition have to play pivotal role in a democracy and lauded the role the parliamentary opposition.
The president said that Pakistan faces the menace of terrorism and highlighted the need to seek solution of the problem for the progress and prosperity of the country.
While lauding the economic performance of the government the president said that the confidence of the international monetary institutions demonstrate the success of the policies of the present government.

Pakistan is facing the challenges of extremism and terrorism, which will be resolved through dialogue, the president said.
President Mamnoon Hussain said that the government was avoiding confrontation for the sake of democracy adding that the respect of the majority opinion is the beauty of democracy.
He also urged for the solution of the Kashmir question according to the aspirations of the people of the region.
