RAWALPINDI: Prince of Bahrain, Sheikh Hammad bin Eesa visited the Joint Staff Headquarters of the Armed Forces of Pakistan here on Wednesday, the Federal Defence Minister of Pakistan Khawaja Muhammad Asif was also accompanied him on this occasion – ARY News reports.
According to details, the Chiefs of all the three Armed Forces of Pakistan warmly welcomed Sheikh Hammad bin Eesa upon his arrival at the Staff Headquarters.
On this eve, Sheikh Hammad praised the sacrifices of Pakistani forces and paid a tribute to the martyrs.
The Prince of Bahrain also exchanged his views with Pakistani officials regarding the enhancement of defence cooperation between the two brotherly states.
The visit of the Prince of Bahrain holds a vital significance in realm of the Syrian conflict, Pakistan is expected to sign an arms deal with Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), to which various political and religious circles are strongly opposing, whereas some groups are also in favor of it, yet quiet.
