Privatization of state institutions will not be allowed, says Munawar
LAHORE: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Syed Munawar Hassan has said that the privatization of the state institutions will not be allowed and has warned that countrywide protests will be held against it – ARY News reports on Wednesday.
Speaking at an anti-privatization conference at Mansura, Syed Munawar Hassan said that the institutions are an asset for the country and they will not be sold at any costs.
He urged that a committee, based on political representatives and labor organizations, has been formed already and it will soon announce an anti-privatization movement soon. He has warned that the Federal Government will have to face the movement which will force them to withdraw their decision.
JI Ameer stated that the country is suffering due to capitalism. He added that the country needs an Islamic system to progress.
General Secretary JI Liaquat Baloch and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Naveed Chaudhry also addressed the conference.
