Priyanka has her sights set on becoming a female detective agent and that too, in a television series abroad.
The former Miss World will be playing an FBI agent in Quantico, an ABC Network show which will begin filming soon. The beautiful actress will be seen onscreen with Jake Mclaughlin from the hit TV series Believe. According to reports, Priyanka has signed a one year contract with ABC network.
The popular actress has maintained her status as one of the leading ladies of the Indian film industry since the early 2000s and continues to enjoy a popular fan base. Chopra was at one time one of the highest paid actresses in the Indian film cinema. She has been felicitated and acknowledged as a crafty artist for her complicated roles in films such as Mary Kom and Barfi. She has starred onscreen with reputable artists from India in films such as Don, Agneepath, Gunday etc.
The actress’s talents are, however, not restricted to acting alone. Priyanka became an international celebrity and her songs such as Exotic with Pitbull and In My City received global acclaim as well as recognition. Now that she has signed onto a project on a respectable TV Network, we expect nothing short of a hit show series!
Quantico is the story of a group of young FBI recruits who all have their respective reasons to join the Bureau. Chopra will play the character Alex, who has secrets of her own which come to surface when she begins gets recruited for the FBI. Many Indian actors and actresses have started to crossover into American films or television shows. Amitabh Bachchan guest starred in The Great Gatsby beside Leonardo DiCaprio. Popular TV shows such as Homeland, House of Cards and Newsroom also feature Indian actors and actresses.
