Probing atrocities: Pakistan urges UN to send fact-finding in held Kashmir

NEW YORK: Pakistan has once again demanded United Nations to send a fact-finding mission to monitor the Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir.

According to Radio Pakistan, Pakistan’s Permanent Ambassador to the United Nations (UN) Maleeha Lodhi made the statement while meeting UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein in New York.

She stated that Indian is carrying out atrocities such as detention, violence and torture in the disputed region with impunity.

Lodhi asked the international community to support Kashmiri people’s movement for their right to self-determination and play their role in ending the atrocities in the region.

The Pakistani official went on to say that India is acknowledging the committment of its brutalities in the region by refusing entry to the disputed region.
