Proteas grab second win, beat Pakistan in final T20

DUBAI: Proteas thrashed the Professor’s team again as Pakistani batsmen continued their quick march from the crease to pavilion again without much resistance in second Twenty20 match in Dubai.

Muhammad Hafeez led Pakistani team which is playing its home series in UAE failed to show its batting prowess as the South African bowlers crushing the Pakistani batsmen engineered  win in the second Twenty20 international by six runs in Dubai, winning the two-match series 2-0.

Pakistani batsmen in their chase for 151 runs target, were nicely at 101-3 in the 14th over but restricted to 144-9 in 20 overs.

South African pacer Wayne Parnell 3-25, Imran Tahir 2-21 and Dale Steyn 2-20 shattered Pakistani batting who lost seven wickets in the space of 43 runs.

Sohaib Maqsood top-scored with 37 runs for Pakistan. Pakistan lost Ahmed Shehzad (21) and Captain Hafeez (nought) in quick succession. But Maqsood, hit two boundaries and a six off 26 balls before Pakistan lost three wickets at 112.

South Africa had won the first match of the two matches Twenty20 series by nine wickets on Wednesday.
