Protesters wanted to occupy parliament, PM House: Nisar

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Sunday claimed that the PTI and PAT protestors who clashed with police wanted to occupy Parliament and Prime Minister House, ARY News reported.

Nisar visted red zone encircled by police personnel and analyzed the situation after the clashes that left scores dead and more than 200 injured.

Talking to media, interior minister said that a group broke law and order despite providing assurance to remain peaceful adding that the angry protestors wanted to occupy Parliament and Prime Minister House.

Nisar maintained that security officials only upheld their oath to protect the constitution and it is their duty.
