ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Sunday said that the hosting of the Pakistan Super League final in Lahore is a good omen and has united the nation.
In his message to the nation on the occasion of PSL final, the prime minister said Pakistan has proved to the world that the days of isolation are over.
PM Sharif said that the country, over the past four years, has become stronger, safer and more stable, creating an environment conducive to national aspirations.
“Cricket is a sport near and dear to our hearts,” he said.
He further said the government hosted the event against all odds despite the obstacles and security concerns. He expressed optimism that this is the first step to put Pakistan back on the map in the sporting arena.
