PSL to get more big names for second edition

The financial reports of PSL have proved the event a huge success as PCB bagged big money in the first edition, a PTV website reported.

Sources said PCB Chairman Executive Board Najam Sethi and the governing body members of PSL in their recent visit to UAE had a meeting with UAE cricket officials to inform them about second edition of PSL and its schedule.

The PSL event is expected to start in the first half of February 2017. As per reports New Zealand cricketer Brendon McCullum and Australian fast-bowler Mitchell Johnson have been contacted by the PSL officials along other big names of the game. There are bright chances that the two players glorify the event.

PCB also wished to bring South African batsman AB de Villiers and Vice Captain of Australia David Warner into the net but they had a busy schedule with their national teams. PSL management is endeavoring to gather a full attraction package for the second season with competition among five teams.

Chris Gayle, Andrew Russell, Darren Sammy and many another international names had stolen the show in the first season. The Pakistani young players also enjoyed in their company and got a great chance to learn from them.
