LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) has announced to organize Peace Sports Festival parallel to Punjab Youth Festival, ARY News reported on Sunday.
PTI’S Member of Punjab Assembly, Sadia Sohail and president of sports wing Iftikhar Ilahi while addressing a press conference in Lahore said that run for peace Marathon will be held next month.
“But district government of Lahore has denied to issue No Objection Certificate (NoC) for carrying the event. So an application has been sent to core commander in which we have requested to conduct the race at Marathon Cant”, they said.
They further said that a reference will be filed to Election Commission against Punjab government for using picture of ‘Tiger’ in Punjab Youth Festival’s logo and using government’s treasure for a political campaign on the name of youth festival.
