ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has granted permission on Thursday, to Yar Muhammad Rind, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Balochistan president to compete in the upcoming general elections 2018.

Balochistan High Court (BHC) has taken back their verdict related to disqualification of Rind from competing in general elections 2018. The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) was ordered by the top court to provide an electoral symbol to the PTI leader.

Earlier, Balochistan High Court (BHC) expelled Rind from polls for having a forged degree and a murder charge against him.

The appeal which was in opposition to BHC decision was attended by a two-judge bench of the apex court.

Rind’s lawyer said that he had mentioned that PTI chief, Rind had a degree in Faculty of Arts (FA) instead of graduation which he had got at a seminar in Sukkur.

According to court, previously it was mentioned in the nomination papers that he holds a post graduation degree, which had contradicted the statement.

As per chief justice’s examination, it is a case of deceitfulness, giving a negative impact on the council.

In regards to the murder case against Rind, his lawyer the advocate implored that he was given bail for that matter.

Therefore, Balochistan High Court (BHC) orders were not considered and Supreme court (SC) granted Rind acquiescence to contest in upcoming general elections 2018, which will be held on 25th July 2018.
