ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb said on Tuesday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan was consistently levelling false allegations against the prime minister and his family.

“Those who could not provide record of ten years money trail are demanding money trail and record of thirty years from Sharif family,” she said while addressing a news conference along MNA Daniyal Aziz in Islamabad.

She said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif never sought immunity despite having the right and presented himself for accountability.

The minister of state said Prime Minister himself had suggested the formation of Joint Investigation Team (JIT).

She said Anti Terrorism Court and Election Commission of Pakistan summoned Imran Khan in two different cases today as accused.

Marriyum said the Supreme Court has been provided all relevant information and full cooperation is extended to JIT.

Speaking on the occasion, MNA Daniyal Aziz said Nawaz has always cooperated with the court and submitted himself to law of the land.

He said objections raised by PM’s son Hussain Nawaz on two members of JIT were being politicized by political opponents.

Daniyal Aziz said Hussain Nawaz appeared before JIT and testified at scheduled time.
