PTI, China’s ruling party sign MoU to beef up bilateral links

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Communist Party of China (CPC) signed a memorandum of understanding in Islamabad on Sunday to further strengthen links between the two parties.

The document was signed by PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmoud Qureshi and the head of the delegation of the CPC.

Talking to the Chinese delegation, Shah Mehmoud Qureshi said both Pakistan and China enjoyed excellent close relations which would be further strengthened. He said the scope of multi billion dollars China Pakistan Economic Corridor project would be further expanded after mutual consultations.

Chairman PTI and Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan will leave for the official visit of China on November 3.

According to details, this will be the second foreign tour of Imran Khan since he assumed the office. The foreign minister, finance minister, railways minister, planning minister and information minister will accompany him on the trip.

The premier will attend a number of important meetings in China during his four-day long visit. The matters of mutual cooperation and discussion on the CPEC are expected to be on the agenda of official meetings.
