PTI confirms its participation in parliamentary meeting

MULTAN: Vice Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Shah Mehmood Qureshi announced that the party will attend the meeting of parliamentary leaders called by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday, ARY News reported.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi, speaking to media here in Multan on Sunday, said that the meeting summoned by the prime minister on Line of Control is important and PTI will attend it.

He added that India’s lies on carrying out surgical strike in Pakistan were exposed when Director General of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Asim Bajwa took the local and international media to the border site.

Qureshi stated that the PTI is the only one can confront the government straight-away but “we are standing with them just for the sake of country and its interests”. The PTI vice-chairman said that he ensured our border protectors that the whole nation is with him.

SHEIKH RASHID NOT INVITED

Awami Muslim League (AML) leader Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has not been invited to the meeting of heads of parliamentary parties.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan has tweeted about the discrimination against Sheikh Rashid and said that this reflects a ‘petty and intolerant’ mindset which cannot evolve national consensus. He questioned why Sheikh Rashid had not been invited when other parties with single representatives have been.
