PTI’s candidate in NA-122 by-poll Abdul Aleem Khan wrote a letter to election commission Punjab in which he has sought an explanation from the body over the issue of vote transfer.

Khan stated that 25,268 votes were included after the polls came to a halt whereas 4,542 votes were rejected by the commission.

The candidate has demanded ECP to provide the copies of the detailed application of vote inclusion that were submitted by the voters.

He has also told the election to provide the death certificates of the voters who have passed away.

PML-N’s Ayaz Sadiq defeated PTI’s Aleem Khan in NA-122 by-elections. He was later re-elected as the Speaker of the National Assembly.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan had claimed that several of PTI votes went missing in the last moments of the fiercely contested by-elections in NA-122.
