Nawaz’s sole aim is to make election results controversial: Fawad Chaudhry
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry on Monday said that former premier Nawaz Sharif is on a mission to cast doubts over the transparency of the electoral process and make the results of 2018 general elections ‘controversial’, ARY News reported.
Addressing a press conference in the federal capital, the PTI spokesperson said that the former premier and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lifelong leader Nawaz Sharif tried every tactic to bring PTI down but failed.
“Reham Khan’s book flopped before hitting the bookstores, Iftikhar Chaudhry (former judge) couldn’t do any damage (to PTI), so Nawaz Sharif has decided to criticise the armed forces and the judiciary with the sole aim to make the election results controversial,” said Fawad Chaudhry.
Fawad Chaudhry also made it clear that PTI wants the elections on time and will not tolerate any delay in the process.
“PTI is ready for elections and its campaign in is full swing… seems no other party is running an electoral campaign but the PTI,” remarked Fawad.
It is pertinent to note here that earlier in the day, Mian Nawaz Sharif, while talking to media in London, said elections are being rigged in PTI’s favour.
