WASHINGTON: Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said the incumbent government has been trying hard to improve living standards of the people by providing them basic facilities.

Speaking to ARY News at a reception held in his honour by a Muslim Democrat politician Ayesha Khan here, he said the government inherited huge loans from previous governments.

Sarwar said the PTI government will complete its tenure in power and fulfill all promises made to the people of the country. Prime Minister Imran Khan has come to power to uproot corruption and malpractices in the country, he added.

Talking about Pak-India tensions, he said Pakistan’s measures to de-escalate tensions between the two nuclear powers elicited international plaudits, adding Pakistan achieved successes on the diplomatic front.

Sarwar said Pakistani expats were an asset of the country and reiterated the government’s resolve to address their issues at the earliest.
