People have given PTI govt mandate for five years: Shah Mehmood Qureshi

MULTAN: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Saturday said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government had got the mandate for five years, so it should be let completed, ARY News reported.

“The new government is given the mandate for five years after election,” Shah Mehmood Qureshi said while talking to media in Multan.

He said on completion of five years the masses would decide who was right and who was wrong. He said the PTI government’s flagship programme ‘Ehsas’, which is aimed at alleviating poverty, will support poor.

On changing of the Public Accounts Committee leadership, the federal minister said the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) was an ally party of the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) still it was not consulted for changing the PAC chairman.

On India’s propaganda against friendship between Pakistan and China, he said China was Pakistan’s friend and was playing its role in economic development in the country. He said India was just doing propaganda against Pak-China friendship.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi said India had itself got stuck in the trap it had laid for Masood Azhar. He said the US was asking questions from India and Baharatya Janata Party (BJP).

He said people of the tribal areas had always supported Pakistan. He said tribal people had fought protracted wars.

The minister suggested Chairman PPP to pay attention to poor areas of Sindh.

“The centre will help Sindh if it pays attention to poor areas,” he said.
